All About: Shade
Shade and Dream’s relationship is my favorite among all the members of Wave Three. Neither of them is particularly goofy or silly, but they have the best comedic timing with those closest to them, especially each other. They were close even before Dream discovered her telepathy, and they’ve only grown closer over time.

All About: Bash
Bash was recruited to the tribe when she was eleven; Dash had been a member for a few years when she came home one day from scouting the border and saw the potential in her baby sister’s soul. She brought Bash to Chief Hex, who awakened her spirit and took her under her wing.

Happy Birthday Kill!
Kill and Hex, like most couples who grew up on the reservation, met when they were very young–however, neither one expressed any romantic interest in the other until their final year at the colonial secondary school, making them high school sweethearts. The two were already an established couple by the time they were awakened as…

Happy Birthday Attack!
He’s a joker and a bit of a schemer; he’s young at heart, yet wise beyond his years. Many of Attack’s peers seek out his advice on various topics. They know that if he can’t help them find clarity, then there’s a good chance that Nail can.

Happy Birthday Cross!
Cross spent most of his childhood stealing supplies from the colonies they passed through, as his father was often too drunk to hunt. He always seemed to forget to barter for clothes for his growing child, which was yet another reason for the youth to become a thief. As he got older, he began stealing…

Happy Birthday Nail!
As their superior and the soul mate of their chief, Nail became a mother figure to members of Wave Three. This was already the case with Shade, her younger cousin whose mother was killed on a scouting run. She’s abrasive and boasts “tough love,” but in reality she’s the first to notice when something is…

Happy Birthday Gag!
When soul mates in the Saturn Rising universe have children, there is no guarantee that they will have the potential to carry a spirit in need of reincarnation. In the case of the kids of the elder Poseideans, most of them were born after the majority of the third wave (Scorch and his followers), so…

Happy Birthday Risk!
She pays close attention to her surroundings at all times, and is rarely taken by surprise. One can find Risk with multiple weapons on her person, including two knives, two guns, and a wooden bat. (She saw that last weapon in a superhero comic once and thought it looked cool.)

Happy Birthday, Gwen!
Her vision isn’t perfect–she relies on glasses–but she can aim and shoot, and she learns about every firearm brought aboard the camper by taking them apart and putting them back together. Whenever Winter or Gray find a manual or instruction book on something (literally anything), they bring it back for Gwen’s collection.

Happy Birthday, Emily!
The tribe only had a few run-ins with bandits following the couple’s soul mate bond, so Gray hasn’t really had the chance to see Emily in action. They’ll have their time in the spotlight in Taurus and the following book, as this couple will have to overcome obstacles in order to survive.
