Three facts about Bash:
- Bash and her older sister, Dash, are an infamous pair among the Poseideans. Both have superhuman physical abilities.
- She and her human mate have two daughters, Alisha and Lissa. The girls are especially close with their cousin Dianna, Dash’s daughter.
- As a member of Wave Two, Bash was recruited early and discovered her ability right off the bat. She’s been protecting the Niitsitapi from bandits since she was twelve.
My thoughts on Bash:
Initially, I had intended for Bash and Dash to be twins, but I scrapped that idea not long after it came up. TCoLD is full of twins: Mona and Monty, Summer and Winter, Heather and Holly–and those are just the twins that have been introduced in the series thus far. There’s at least two more pairs in the Havet Tribe alone, and that isn’t even the end of it. Plus, I thought being the younger sibling fit better with my mental image of Bash.
Bash was recruited to the tribe when she was eleven; Dash had been a member for a few years when she came home one day from scouting the border and saw the potential in her baby sister’s soul. She brought Bash to Chief Hex, who awakened her spirit and took her under her wing. Bash flourished under the tutelage of the chief and her sister; she learned quickly and suggested interesting strategies on the fly. The preferred entrance of the Wolf tail sisters is for Dash to escort Bash into battle with her superspeed, only for Bash to take out the biggest opponent on the field.
One of the most arduous feats Bash has had to overcome were her feelings for teammate Chase. What began as a crush on her and her sister’s childhood friend developed into frenzy of dramatic misunderstandings. The two eventually overcame this by airing their grievances; they remain close friends to this day, and their children play together often.
For those of you who don’t know, Bash is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
