Three facts about Hex:
- Hex can create and manipulate bubble-like force fields. She can make more than one at a time, though how many depends on the size needed.
- While glass beads are preferred, Hex likes to carve beads out of stone, crystal, wood, and copper. Her designs are sought after in the neighboring colonies.
- Hex knows that Bubbles won’t give up on protecting the tribe, so she agreed with Kill’s decision to train her. She sees herself in her daughter, and knows it would be better to prepare her.
My thoughts on Hex:
Hex is the caring, bordering on doting mother we all hope for. She’s gentle at heart, but gives her all in every task she takes on. Wave One had their work cut out for them when they were awakened; since they were the first Poseideans since the apocalypse, there had not been anyone around to protect the colonists from the bandits. Once their massive territory was claimed, agreements between different tribes and colonies had been formed, and trades were established, protecting the Niitsitapi, Piikáni, and Kainai was a breeze. The bandits learned the hard way not to trespass onto Poseidean territory. Hex was one of the ones who gave them the most grief, as she was known to trap some in a bubble and watch their bullets ricochet.
Hex will be one of the first Poseideans introduced to you in Taurus; she’s a sweetheart, and her interactions with Princess Alice give me cavities 😭
For those of you who don’t know, Hex is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
