Here’s the final (on time) birthday bio for the Poseideans! I’ll post a few “all about” blogs to make up for the three that I (some-frickin’-how) missed. In the meantime, enjoy learning about the first chief the Havet Tribe had since the apocalypse!

Three facts about Perish:
- As the first chief since the apocalypse, he chose the theme for their codenames… He couldn’t have chosen a more confusing theme.
- His code name is both a warning to bandits and a play on his spiritual upbringing. His grandparents took him to church against his will.
- Now retired, Perish and Leer have a sheepdog that helps out on their personal farm between the Southern Piikáni and the Brocket colonists. Her name is Brunie and she is the best girl.
My thoughts on Brunie Perish:
He’s often underestimated as a weakling or not much of a threat as the result of his height, when in reality he’s one of the deadliest members of the entire tribe. Perish is skilled in various martial arts and lethal fighting styles. He comes off as impulsive and reckless, when he’s actually very calculating. He plans out his every move and considers at least three possible outcomes for every scenario.
Outside of combat, he’s a loud-mouth and a flirt. Leer’s the only one who’s been able to make him blush. He’s not above grabbing the younger members’ ears and dragging them away for a lecture. He’s tried to teach Brunie how to attack others, but she just licks their hands and whimpers, so he breaks down from the utter cuteness and hugs her. Perish has a collection of old discs containing various animated children’s movies from the 1980s up until the apocalypse hit in 2034. He watches them regularly and cries during every single one. He also bawled his eyes out when he and Leer danced to the song Ooze wrote for their anniversary celebration.
For those of you who don’t know, Perish is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
