Three facts about Gily:
- Nora made Tay a special broadsword that he can summon at will thanks to their bond. She designed it after the legendary weapon Excalibur.
- He has an extensive collection of popular animation, series, and films from before the plague. His favorite genre is medieval fantasy and mythical creatures.
- Virgilio and Dianora have been talking about starting a family as of late. The only thing holding them back is Adrian’s uncertain whereabouts.
My thoughts on Virgilio:
Please note: the “g” in Virgilio is pronounced as an “h,” so his nickname (Gily) is pronounced Heely. xD
Virgilio, Dianora, Celia, and Dante all grew up in the Campinas Colony of the State of São Paulo. As the eldest, he led his friends on many adventures into the surrounding wilderness, which had long-since reclaimed the colony. They were on their way to visit his relatives on a nearby farm when bandits intercepted them, eager to kidnap them and absorb them into their numbers. The teenagers resisted until Virgilio’s true self was awakened through his desire to protect his friends. Following their victory against the squad of scavengers, he recruited his friends to the cause, unlocking their potential and becoming the first Hermean priest since the Great Spirit War. He made Dianora his vicar due to her seemingly endless patience, and Dante was the coven’s one and only psychic. The four of them were an unstoppable force, defending the colony and expanding their influence throughout the state. Overtime, they recruited more to the coven, and it wasn’t until Fabian revealed himself as the true priest of Enki that Gily willingly stepped down.
An only child raised by a single father, Virgilio prides himself on his sense of responsibility and protectiveness over others. He’s a quiet yet social person, taking others under his wing and building up their confidence. He runs the coven’s training; the only spirit he can’t outright beat is his beloved. The two are tied 2,371 wins each.
For those of you who don’t know, Virgilio is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
