Three facts about Julian:
- Since their recruitment following the ambush of their colony, Julian has looked up to Eric. He was the older brother he needed while Wells focused on his duties.
- Julian was the one to find and recruit Caleb. The two remain very close friends.
- The Sanchez brothers have had a stagnant relationship in recent years, causing the two not to see eye to eye. Wells believes coexistence with demons is possible, while Julian does not.
My thoughts on Julian:
Julian is Wellington’s opposite in almost every way. He’s impulsive, hard-headed, and acts his age–Wellington had to step up at age fourteen when he was recognized as the court’s teleporter. And while most teleporters are pranksters, that trait seemed to miss Wells and find its home in his younger brother. By the time Taurus starts, Julian will have been barred from pranking, as even Caleb was getting sick of it.
Julian and Caleb are best friends, and Eric and Scarlett took them both under their wings following their recruitments. Eric taught them how to play instruments–drums for Caleb, guitar for Julian–and Scarlett taught them how to trap, hunt, and survive on supply runs. Julian feels protective of Caleb, despite the bigender teen being a year older than him.
In Taurus, we’re going to find that many groups are split when it comes to moving on–on the Zeroua Court is no exception.
For those of you who don’t know, Julian is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
