Three facts about Alex:
- It was Alex’s idea to keep Chick a secret. He believes the elders will disapprove of their pet.
- He’s sort of taken Zach under his wing. The two parkour around North Las Vegas, as it is mostly abandoned.
- He helps Albert, Harry, and the elders look after the court’s vehicles. He’s been trying to get Albert to race him, but the advisor won’t budge.
My thoughts on Alex:
Alex is the typical bad boy you liked in high school. He might have been held back one or two grades. His electives were autoshop and Spanish, and he goofs off in the latter class. He rides a skateboard to school and parkours around the lunch courtyard. He skips most of his core classes and never turns in homework, yet he somehow aces the tests, earning him a C or D average. Black is his favorite color, Devil’s night is his go-to holiday, and he let’s girls draw on his arms.
In all seriousness, Alex and Hunter are very similar. Both are pranksters who are prone to goofing off. Both thought it a good idea to rescue a coyote pup and keep it in their home. Both felt that Bruno would make a fun addition to their already mischievous dynamic.
Alex is an orphan, which sets him apart from Hunter. He’s a ringleader, dragging Hunter into all kinds of messes. Prank wars with the other teen members, outlandish stunts where they test Hunter’s invulnerability, car races, parkour competitions, videogame tournaments… If you see one of these teens, the other is close behind.
For those of you who don’t know, Alex is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
