Three facts about Josh:
- The Turner brothers are from the Death Valley colony. These colonists are primarily traders; they find supplies and trade with neighboring colonies for better necessities.
- Under Trent’s tutelage, Josh has excelled at gaming and psychic training. However, he’s falling behind in combat.
- Josh and Zach lost their mother when they were very young, and were raised by an uncle whom they still visit. They never knew their father.
My thoughts on Josh:
Josh and Zach were on a supply run with their Uncle Jensen when they bumped into the Ninurta Court, led at the time by Owen McMahon. Owen recruited the boys, assuring their uncle that they would be safe under his care. The boys visit their uncle every few months, and now that the court has settled onto permanent territory, Uncle Jensen visits them very often.
The brothers are very close. They share just about everything–well, almost everything. Since their recruitment, Josh has been spending a lot of time with Trent, and the two have opened up to one another. Not even Zach knows what’s been said between those two, and he hasn’t pressed the issue. He knows Josh will tell him if it’s important.
Josh is one of the angels who patrol the Henderson and Spring Valley colonies, and he’s grown attached to the families that live there. Like the Petersons, who grow most of the food they eat. And Mrs. Moya, who makes all their weapons. And the Sijapatis, who take care of the colony’s laundry… Those colonies are growing every week, filling up with more humans who count on the Cronians for protection. That’s a lot of pressure for a teenager.
For those of you who don’t know, Josh is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
