Three facts about Chris:
- Chris has a habit of going on solo scouting missions and collecting comics. The council has forbid him from leaving the colony without two other angels.
- He and Alexa host weekly videogame tournaments for their friends. Cooper is the newest champion, having unseated Connor.
- As a child, he and his dad used to play “Port Tag”. They would teleport around and try to tag one another in flashes of lightning.
My thoughts on Chris:
Chris was one of the first teleporters I ever created. He’s based off a friend I had in high school. I hung out with “outcasts”; goths, punks, skaters, stoners, anime nerds… That’s who I based many of my first characters off of. Chris is definitely a skater/stoner, and a mischievous prankster. He’ll do dumb, risky stunts just to put a smile on a friend’s face. He’s got a big heart and loves Alexa to pieces. He has no qualms with demons, and is behind Monty’s motion to reach out to the Phebeans.
Chris and Alexa’s soul mate bond raised eyebrows–Alexa was sixteen and Chris only thirteen. The two began dating almost immediately, and Chris asked Alexa to marry him when she turned eighteen. She refused over and over until finally Chris was of age by human standards–and then she asked him.
Remember: for spirits, all persons twenty-four and under are considered minors, and they come of age at twenty-five. However, they do respect the human standard for age of majority and consent.
For those of you who don’t know, Chris is a supporting character in The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
