Let’s talk about my favorite blind prophetess and TRY not to reveal any spoilers. Okay me? Okay. Cool.

Three facts about Desi:

Desideria has been having visions since before her recruitment. The prophecies come to her in dreams.
She’s the only member with two soul mates. Aldo only gets a little jealous, but he and Remiel are close friends.
Aunt Desi is the reason the council has been passing over the Montgomery teens for leadership positions. Her visions are paving the way to the future.

My thoughts on Desi:

While only three years younger than Matteo, there’s a whopping thirteen age difference between Desi and her brother Lorenzo, causing her to feel distant from her eldest sibling. Aldo was always close to Matteo, which gave him a leg up when it came to seeking the psychic’s attention. The two were bonded and married by the time Desi was twenty-five. Remiel was recruited shortly afterward–the three seemed to be good friends until sometime after his wife’s untimely death. That was when Desi recognized Remi as her second soul mate. This had initially led to some tension between Remi and Aldo, but both men love Desideria to pieces, so they settled their differences. Aldo remained her husband, and Remi became her boyfriend.

Sam and Ricky were not planned, but they were pleasant “surprises” sprinkled into her thirties. (Remember: hard to surprise her.) Desi has enjoyed every second of motherhood, and she can’t wait to meet her future grandchildren.
