Happy Birthday, Mona!

I was debating on whether or not I should make this particular biography. We haven’t gone over what happens to Lizzie and Mona yet in Lizzie’s Diary–however, it’s already been hinted at in Monty’s Memories, and it’s explicitly said in Book One: Aquarius. With all that in mind, this post may contain spoilers. Please proceed at your own risk.

Three facts about Mona:

  1. Like her brother, Mona showed an interest in art at a young age. Since she was never recognized as an angel, she had more time to practice her drawing skills.
  2. While initially put off by Lizzie’s friends from the human school, she came to like and appreciate them. Especially Gavin and Gabby.
  3. Despite her sour relationship with her father, Mona still keeps in touch with her mother and brother. Monty keeps her posted on Matteo’s wellbeing.

My thoughts on Mona:

Remember, this is a spoiler zone. You’ve been warned.

Mona, Monty Alagona’s twin, is a demon and a member of the Semes Tribe. She was one of the last to be recruited before the Phebeans left Savannah and headed for the remains of Florida. She’s been Karia’s guardian and older sister figure since both girls were teenagers; the two were brought together as a result of Monty’s desire to save Karia. These young women have grown exceptionally close, especially now that they’ve left the only real home they’ve ever had.

Mona’s less impulsive than her twin brother, though both are considerate and have big hearts. She’s also good friends with Marilyn, in spite of any bad feelings she has about Dane. She’s seen by most of the tribe as a mother figure, and she’s not shy. She’s always ready to voice her opinion, but listens to others as well. Tripp has become her anchor since her recruitment; if it weren’t for him or Karia, she would have gone rogue by now.

For those of you who don’t know, Mona is a supporting character in The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
