Sisters of the Shadows

Random Facts:

1. Since Whitney came out as transgender when they were very young, Elle has spent most of her life with an older sister. She tends to forget that Whit is trans until a bigot starts some shit–and she’s the first to throw hands.

2. The Shepard sisters are very close, leading Elle to also be friends with Sarina and Danivyn–but she has no friends her age within the pack. She’s fairly popular at Sacred Heart, but the only students at AOA that she considers herself close with are Sekai (a werelioness) and mermaids Quanesia and Shamecca.

3. Her favorite manga are Stars of Yesterday, Beloved The Rose, and The Harlequin Butcher of 69th Street. Her favorite web comics are Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe and Everywhere & Nowhere by Merryweather & PeaCH.

4. Elle has taken a mild interest in writing recently, and her friends dared her to join AOA’s poetry club. She has not made any other friends there, but she enjoys the atmosphere and continues to attend meetings. It’s the only club she’s joined since enrolling, other than the LGBTQIA+ Alliance.

5. Since poetry club meetings are usually brief (and optional), Elle spends her spare time watching Shamecca and Quanesia’s swim practice; Sekai’s baseball or football practice; or Whit, Sarina, and Sekai’s dance practice, whichever is occurring in the moment and sounds most appealing to her. All she really does is sit in the bleachers and write and doodle. She’s tried sitting through an Empty Obsessions practice for Shamecca, but couldn’t get into it. Rock and metal music mess with her creativity.
