Three facts about Chris Sr.:
- Chris Sr. is the only teleporter in the history of any group to take on the rank of leader. His reign gave Cameron time to come of age.
- He collects vinyl records, CDs, and cassette tapes of various types of music. His favorites house classic rock hits and 1990’s metal.
- He’s a good listener with a big heart and a kind soul. He was Desideria’s go-to confidante before she bonded with Aldo and Remi.
My thoughts on Chris Sr.:
Christian is a natural comedian with superhuman comedic timing. He was a prankster long before he was awakened. He and Remiel were instant friends from the moment they met, and he loves Desi like a little sister. When he was thirty, he was elected by the Council of Elders and his peers to succeed Matteo as prince; he met his soul mate, Aurora, midway through his reign. She teaches grade school age children, so when they first met neither one wanted children. It was only after Christian’s term as prince came to an end that he and Aurora tried for a child. They had Christopher a couple of years later.
The Council of Elders can be divided into two main groups: Lorenzo, Matteo, Carter, and Cameron on one side, and Desideria, Remiel, Christian, and Aldo on the other. The latter half has been dubbed the “fun side,” even though Christian doesn’t get to vote when the council is coming to a decision. Porters don’t vote, and the council has to maintain an odd number of participants so as to avoid draws. Chris Sr. swears he doesn’t mind being left out, saying that he only has to wait until, “one of the boring ones croak.”
Back then, a spirit would not be allowed to be prince until after their twenty-fifth birthday. It’s only with Sal and the princes that follow that they lowered the minimum age to seventeen.
For those of you who don’t know, Christian is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
