The second of today’s birthdays is for a character that I’m excited to write about in the trilogy that follows Saturn Rising. She’s strong, brave, kind, beautiful… And yeah I may sound like a Nat simp and that’s ’cause I am XD so is her soul mate, whom we’ve already met…

Soul mate: to be revealed in a later installment 😉
Three facts about Nat:
- She’s well-versed in all types of combat, including judo and gun handling. However, she prefers her sword over any other weapon.
- Natalie helped Samuel make her sword, deepening the bond between owner and weapon. She named it Requiem.
- She briefly dated Ricky, but they both felt discouraged when they didn’t undergo the soul mate bond. They’re still friends in spite of this.
My thoughts on Natalie:
Natalie Hall is a woman of many talents. Not only is she a sword-wielding force to be reckoned with, she’s also a practiced hair stylist who taught Mona how to properly care for black hair–a necessary skill when raising black youth. Her elder sister, Cienna, honed the green thumb she had, making her the second best gardener in the court. And her long-time friend, Alexa, taught her how to block out enemy psychics with minimal effort. Even so, no one’s great at everything… Like cooking. Natalie is a downright menace in the kitchen. She’ll happily be your taste-tester and help you clean up afterwards, but do NOT ask her to help prepare food in anyway. Uncle Remi jokes that Nat can burn water.
While dating is overall discouraged with the younger Jovians, Nat and Ricky gave it a shot anyway. I mean, who better to be your soul mate than your best friend? Unfortunately, their souls failed to recognize one another as their true mates, so the whole ordeal discouraged both angels and put a strain on their friendship. They’re not as close as they used to be, and Ricky blames himself–dating was his idea.
I’ll admit, you won’t see much of Natalie until the next trilogy after Saturn Rising, so get your fill with Lizzie’s Diary and Monty’s Memories. Once that new series comes, things will proceed rather quickly.
For those of you who don’t know, Natalie is a supporting character in The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
