Okay, I know I was debating on whether or not I should do the Jovian birthday bios… But you meet most of the Jovians in Monty’s Memories and Lizzie’s Diary, so I’ll be formatting the bios a bit different to tailor to the Jovians. We’ll show their age in the later chapters of Lizzie’s Diary, and I’ve also eliminated roommate section because the younger Jovians tend to live with their parents or older relatives until they’re at least eighteen, then they live with their soul mate (if they have one).
Today, we’re celebrating Carter Montgomery, father to Monty’s friend Connor.
Basic Info:
Age in Lizzie’s Diary: 72
Height: 5’11 | Weight: 180 lbs.
Hair: dirty blonde, receding hairline, greying | Eyes: peanut brown (color changing)
Human Race: Half Irish-American, Half Italian-American | Species: Angel
Hailing Planet: Iuppiter
Ability: hypnokinesis, hallucikinesis
Rank: Elder
Specialties: stealthy, manipulative, trapping, boxing
Best friend: Remiel Hall, Lorenzo Alagona
Mentor: Wyatt Montgomery (deceased)
Soul mate: Bonita Murphy
Three facts about Carter:
- Carter is the eldest of the three Montgomery elders. Each held the proverbial crown for at least a decade.
- He met his mate, Bonnie, years after his term as prince came to an end. He was forty-one and she was twenty.
- Despite what Monty believes, Carter was as much involved in the decision to pass Connor over for advisor as Matteo and Lorenzo were. He did not believe his son was ready.
My thoughts on Carter:
The elders of the Iuppiter Court are further along in their years because they all focused on training and protecting the Savannah Colony in their youth. Carter didn’t even meet Bonnie until she was twenty–and even then, she did not officially become his mate for several years. This is because both were focused on their individual duties, leaving little room for anything more than a slow-paced relationship. By the time Bonnie felt prepared to commit to Carter, he was already nearing fifty. Bonnie gave birth to Connor when she was thirty years old. Carter was fifty-one; he loves his children, but rearing them at such an advanced age has made him weary. He isn’t the strong, strapping prince he used to be.
The Council of Elders just want what’s best for the court and the Savannah colony–even if it means controlling their princes from the shadows.
For those of you who don’t know, Carter is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
