Three facts about Eric:

1. As the original members of the court, Eric, Aria, Alice, Noah, and Gin are exceptionally close. They’re all close friends and value one another’s opinion.
2. He plays the guitar more than any other instrument, but he’s also learned violin, cello, and double bass. His and Aria’s concerts in Jackson help keep the peace with the colonists.
3. Eric and Alice have been dating for the past three years. They’ve been dubbed the “prince and princess” of the court.

My thoughts on Eric:

He and Noah are the big brothers of the court. He takes the younger members under his wing, teaching them to express themselves through music. Julian flourished under his tutelage, and others like Caleb and Aidan are warming up to the other angels. This has broadened the talent featured at the monthly McKnight concert at the Jackson colony.

Since they grew up together, Alice had a crush on Eric since they were around eight years old. It seemed as if those feelings were unrequited until both turned fourteen and Alice was awakened and made princess of their court. He watched the clumsy, loud-mouthed girl he knew mature into the fair, open-minded princess we see at the start of Taurus. By then, the pair will have been a couple for three years–though not everything is sunshine and rainbows.

Eric has always been supportive of Alice’s decisions–but as the events of Taurus unfold, he and the rest of the court will have a difficult decision to make.
