S.o.t.S. Entry #7

I sound younger than I look, and I am younger than I seem...
But if life has taught me one thing, it's that "love" is an optimist's dream.
If love were a common state of mind,
it'd be anxiety and rebelliousness combined.
A delirious mixture of cruel and kind--
it's no wonder that "in love" we become blind.
If love were a drug, it'd be too intense.
Only ketamine would make the most sense;
the euphoric high leaves you without defense,
a weightless feeling brings new credence...
You may call me an optimist, a fool, or whatever you deem,
But even after all I've been through... To be loved is my dream.
