Three facts about Onyait:
- He and Mateo are sick of Adrian and Ignacio’s pranks… So they started pranking back. The war still rages on today.
- Onyait took advantage of Adrian’s version of futebol to recruit the more powerful spirits in their coven for his team. Mateo, Dante, and Ignacio are on his team.
- His soul mate, Meleni, is the coven’s gardener and farmer. The two of them spend most mornings tending to the crops with Yuliana’s help.
My thoughts on Onyait:
This is a man who hates losing. He’s strategic, and knows how to best utilize his teammates. He recruited Ignacio for his teleportation and Dante for their telepathy, both of which are useful in both battle and futebol. Mateo shapeshifts into a jaguar, so he aids them in his own fierce way.
While Meleni and Teresa are technically not angels or demons (they’re fairies; please read this page for more information on the different species in this universe), they’re not treated any differently. Onyait calls Meleni his rainha das fadas, and helps her as much as he can. She can manipulate and speak to plants, so his duties are limited to plowing and watering. Yuliana helps out by harvesting the crops that are ready using her super speed.
