Let’s meet Gag’s other half–the first Poseidean psychic since the apocalypse–Envy!

Basic Info:

Real name: Velma Weasel Tail
Age in Taurus: 49
Height: 5’11 | Weight: 140 lbs.
Hair: shoulder-length, straight, dyed bright cherry
Eyes: grape (purplish-russet brown)
Human Race: Piikáni | Species: Demon
Hailing Planet: Havet
Ability: telepathy; pathokinesis
Rank: Psychic
Specialties: reading the room (mentally and emotionally), psychology/sociology, remaining focused, kick boxing
Best friends: Gag, Kill, Leer, Perish
Soul mate: Gag

Three facts about Envy:

  1. Most telepaths are reserved, but odds are the Envy is the most extroverted of the bunch. Some attribute that to her pathokinetic abilities.
  2. She’s the life of the party no matter where she goes. Put her and Leer together for a wild gathering!
  3. When she isn’t on duty, Envy can be found either on her and Gag’s farm or at Hex’s house carving beads. She’d rather have many small talents over one big talent.

My thoughts on Envy:

Just as most teleporters tend to follow a basic personality template, the same goes for telepaths. My psychics are introverted, reserved; they value their privacy, and are willing to give others their much deserved privacy. They’re also kind and helpful, even if they usually aren’t the first to volunteer for physically challenging tasks.

Envy is almost the exact opposite of my token psychic, with the exceptions being that she is kind and always willing to help others. Envy keeps active by training with Gag at the gym on the reservation, going on morning runs, and teaching yoga. She’s always available to help Whisper come up with fun ideas for their next gathering, and she’s one of the firsts to volunteer for anything. Her pathokinetic abilities led her to realizing the unspoken attraction between Chief Perish and Leer in the early days of Wave One’s awakening, and she used this knowledge to ease the two closer together. Envy is known as the Demon Matchmaker, as she has an uncanny way of predicting who a spirit’s soul mate is.

For those of you who don’t know, Envy is a supporting character in my trilogy Saturn Rising, which is the first installment of The Chronicles of Life & Death. The first book, Aquarius, is available now on Amazon as an e-book and paperback. You can even read it all for free with Kindle Unlimited! Learn more here.
